Mangshui Gushu Huangpian 2018

Czechoslovak transcription: Mang-shuei Ku-shu Chuang-pien

I read about the village of Mangshui in a Chinese book about old tea trees, and in 2015 I personally visited this mountain village for the first time. This cake consists of sorted spring yellow leaves from old trees, which the villagers use to drink – the so-called Huangpian (Chuang-pchien). It is processed by gently roasting in a wok, followed by rolling and drying in the sun. It is a robust tea with a dense taste. The taste can be bitter, with an aftertaste of tropical fruits. For preparation, we use 5g of tea for 150-250ml of water. I recommend rinsing the tea with hot water for the first time, and then after smelling it pour 90°C water for about 30 seconds to 1 minute. It can be watered several times..
Preparation:

1) 4-7g / 100-250ml;
2) 95°C; 3) 20-30 sec.;
4) 5-8 infusions
