Nanmei is a mountain village located in the Lincang area of southwest China’s Yunnan province. It is not very famous for great tea, like the village of Bingdao only 20 km away, where tea is so expensive that it is almost impossible to buy. On the expedition in 2018, we managed to get here with Michal and Robert (Czechoslovak-Polish three-member group). We found a farmer with a garden of old trees, with whom we also tried roasting tea.
This tea from old trees was harvested in the spring of 2021 and is currently only available in small quantities. It is one of this year’s best old-tree puers.
