Oriental peacock – Bada zaochun qiaomu organic 2021
From 2,80€
This extravagant young shu puer from 2021 is full of split impressions. On the one hand, he gets the attention of the tea audience with his eccentric scents, on the other hand, he is despised by the audience. The scent can transport a person to an old shoe store with oiled leather shoes and latex sneakers, or for a moment to a grandmother’s living room where the furniture was freshly polished by Diava. To some it reminds a luxurious cellar, to others the Dusty Bastion. The clear pickle was surprisingly dominated by caramel sweetness, and the decent, ancient, but somewhat flat taste was overall pleasant.
The place Bada is mainly known for puer with notes of camphor trees that grow in the area. Cultivar Zaochun – Early Spring is bred mainly for yield, where quality is not paramount. Qiaomu means that the tea tree already has a trunk, but it does not say anything about its size or age. I will leave the overall assessment to each of you.
