My name is Michal Bútor and I come from Slovakia. My story of discovering my life direction and exploring space beyond my country began in 2002 during hitchhiking to Marseille. Next year in the Summer of 2003 a good friend Tomáš Bučurič (R.I.P.) joined me and we hitchhiked to Switzerland. He brought a pack of green tea from Camellia sinensis and since then I became a tea enthusiast. Year after, I passed the exams in the (six-year) Chinese language master program at Comenius Uni in Bratislava. Tea was my companion and paved the way along my studies of Chinese language and characters. The tea culture was slowly consuming me. Let’s just say the Tea finds me. In 2010 I got my master’s degree and became an interpreter, but there were only a few job opportunities in Slovakia and as a fresh graduate it was very challenging for me. Therefore in 2012, I decided to explore tea plantations in China on my own and start a tea business. My brother Matej supported me and we bring the first cargo with tea. However, my tea enthusiasm meet reality and I have realized that selling tea is in Slovakia. hard and when I finished my 6th year of master degree of sinology at Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. Tea enthusiasm was introduced to me through my Since then,My decision to discover tea plantations in China on my own in 2012 was one of the best decisions, but I would not make it without the support of my younger brother Matej, who live in Germany. However, to be a small tea seller in Slovakia is dedicted to a harsh economic life. It is more of a lifestyle, a wonderful lifestyle with a lot of good vibes. In 2015 I made my first tea expedition, and since then I have yearly guided dozens of people among tea mountains in Sichuan, Yunnan, Guangdong, Fujian, Jiangxi, Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces in China.
