Today I would like to present to you my red St. Lawrence wine from Modra, vintage 2020. I have been making wine for over five years and last vintage really surprised me. We picked the grapes on October 1st and without adding sugar they fermented in a stainless steel barrel to a nice 11.13% alcohol. A few months before bottling, the wine was also enriched with barrique wood. Relatively high tannins combined with the typical acidity of Vavrinca gives the taste a feeling of cherry juice, and the mild bitterness with a barrique tone embalms the tongue.
