2024 Laochuan Hongmei – Red eyebrows
From 3,80€
This red tea originates in Sichuan province in China and it is produced from an old cultivar called Laochuan – Old (Si) chuan. It contains mainly nicely rolled upper tea buds fully oxidated into nice red tea (Eng. black tea).
The fragrance of dry leaves resembles fresh crispy bread and in a longer sense a hint of meadow star-shaped flowers. After steeping it, the authentic honey-like aroma fills the cup, but the slightly bitter taste of cocoa nuts dominates in the mouth. This bitter taste resembles the Red Yunnan tea – Dianhong. You can get 6-7 steepings from 7-8g/100-120ml. The overall rating is 8.5/10
