We present to you our first successful collaboration with the ceramicist Peter Jurníček. We named our work 'porcelain penguin'. Petr gave our design a realistic shape, and we added a cotton handle for easier handling of hot porcelain when pouring tea. Porcelain is one of the best materials for preparing tea. This shibō has a relatively tall shape, the advantage of which is that the aroma of the tea constantly remains inside and does not escape immediately after uncovering. It has a volume of 120 ml, which is a golden standard when preparing tea – you can prepare full-bodied infusions for one person with a few grams of tea, but it also handles tea preparation for two to four people with up to 10g of tea. However, with each method, one must pay attention to the steeping time, the more tea we use, the shorter the steeping time. In this 'porcelain penguin,' you can prepare any type of tea, making it suitable not only for experienced tea lovers but also for beginners.
