Mangshui Lingyun | The fairy poetry
I would like to introduce you to a tea for which I created a recipe last year and had it pressed into 200g cakes. This “green puer” comes from the town of Mangshui (read Mang-shuei) and its producer is Mr. Yu Hongwen-a (Jü Chung-wen), whom I visited from 2015 to 2019. The tea consists of high-quality yellow leaves from old trees – the so-called gushu huangpian (chuang-pien) 5/8 and from full-fledged Minggu tips 3/8. The yellow leaves are relatively sweet to the taste and the tips add depth to the tea. It has a slightly cooling effect on the tongue and a long-lasting aftertaste.
