Oriental beauty – Dongfang meiren
9.00€
The beauty of the Orient is tea whose leaves have been impaled by the small cicada Jacobiasca formosana, which causes its oxidation while still on the tea plant. Such leaves are then collected and allowed to fully oxidize. Personally, it reminds me of Laobai cha-type white tea from Fujian province, but in Taiwan it is classified as semi-oxidized tea / oolong. This tea comes from the Pinglin region in Taiwan, where we visited the producer in December 2018.
